Catholic Education Week in Queensland

This week was Catholic Education Week in Queensland. I celebrated with four schools, two in Brisbane and two in Cairns. Thanks to St Joseph's in Nundah and Jenny Davissen for this beautiful welcome sign!

On Thursday I drove about two hours south of Cairns to Tully to celebrate with St Clare's. It had been 15 years since my last visit. It was such a great privilege to be part of the Catholic Education Week liturgy- it was children's liturgy at its very best- well done Kath Kennedy! St Clare's has a classic Queensland design which they had replicated in this model to celebrate 90 years of the school.

And I even managed to add to my list of "BIGS"- this time the Golden Gumboot, commemroating the fact that Tully (usually) has the highest annual rainfall in Australia!
