Under Your Star
Like all of Andrew’s picture books to date, “Under Your Star” was a song first. It is based on the infancy narratives from both Luke and Matthew’s Gospels, telling the story of Jesus’ birth, the angels who heralded the birth of the Saviour, the shepherds who came from the fields to see this child, and the wise men who travelled from afar.
“Under Your Star” is accompanied by a CD, with a read-a-long and sing-a-long version of the song as well as a bonus Christmas carol. And for the first time the picture book comes with a bonus DVD with a digital version of the picture book and two video clips, showing school children bringing “Under Your Star” and “Silent Night” to life through drama and movement.

Rainbow
“Rainbow” is Andrew Chinn’s third picture book for children, exploring the rainbow both in terms of the colours of God’s creation and the rainbow that is humanity. The song Rainbow was inspired by a conversation Andrew had with a girl in Te Aroha, New Zealand, Kellie, who had written a rainbow-inspired prayer. The song has since become one of Andrew’s best-loved and most-requested songs.
Written by Andrew Chinn and again featuring the artistic talents of Jacqui Brown.

“In the Beginning” was a song before it became a story and was inspired, in part, by the Cathedral windows at St Monica’s, Cairns. Jacqui Brown, a Moss Vale artist, brought the words to life with her beautiful illustrations.
